After languishing in the doldrums for a while, we finally bit the bullet and got a chance to upload these. A Pandemic project, these New Podcasts were researched, recorded and edited over that time. Originally intended to mark our 30 years in former Eastern Germany. We expanded it to include some other musical journeys with our friends. From Jazz music, ROBBY TAENZER our German Manager, from classical music CAT HENSCHELMANN and from bluegrass, last but not least, GARY MCMULLEN, in two parts. All finally ending up working in the world of Irish Folk Music. Enjoy.
Tim O'Shea & Cat HenschlemanThis is an exciting, humbling endorsement project. Usually only reserved for the elite. It started before the pandemic. Martin Macica, (https://www.macica.com/) is a fine, upstate New York Luthier and musician. We met in Ireland some years before and his mom was from Galway. This collaboration and friendship then evolved. Martin would like to see make instruments available in Europe. Next March this project will reach its peak and the instrument is due for collection. There will be video, plenty of new photos and new some audio samples soon.
The Tour is booked and is in 3 legs. Leg 1: Michigan we have 3 shows with Gary McMullen (Michigan native) Guitar/Vocals, plus Joe Nieslen (Chicago) Flute & Whistle. Leg 2: Chicago with Joe and Pat Quinn (Banjo & Flute) and finally Leg 3: Upstate New York, with Dubliner, (Fiddle / Guitar / Vocal), Paudy Timoney and Irish Dancer Andrew Colettii. (See GIGS & TOURS page for details).
Just got news from our German Tour Manager. Robby is nearly finished booking the whole October Tour, of 26 shows. (See GIGS & TOURS page for details). One big new Tour change, seems like there is lots more travel involved this year. Good news is we have much repeated business which is always a good sign. New for 2024 is a Solo project gig to add on to the end of the main tour. (See GIG & TOURS page for all details soon).
